FAQ

What is the dress code?

We’d love to see all of our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best formal cocktail attire. A tuxedo isn’t required but if you have one and want to sport it, that’s great. Suits, sport coats and ties are perfect for the men. For women, a floor-length gown, cocktail dress or pantsuit. Please no jeans/denim and avoid shades of white. And don’t forget your dancing shoes! We are hopeful for a beautiful October New England day and that you will be able to enjoy the lawn and ocean views.

What is the weather like in October?

Fall in Connecticut can be unpredictable but temperatures average a high of 64°F and a low of 46°F. The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but weather permitting cocktail hour will be held outside and there will be plenty of time for snapping great pics by the water or relaxing in an Adirondack chair.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, the drinks are on us, and the hangover is on you – get ready to party responsibly!

Can I bring a guest/date?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Can we bring kids?

We love your little ones; however, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event except for immediate invited family members. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 2:30pm. Please arrive to the church at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding your seat. There is plenty of parking and access from the front and back of the church.

Is there parking available at the venue?

For those who choose to drive from the ceremony to the reception, parking is available at the Inn at Longshore.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over feel free to take as many pictures as you’d like and don’t forget to share them with us!

Is there a registry?

We hope you know that having you present to celebrate with us at our wedding is the best present of all! For friends and family who have been asking for gift ideas, we love to cook, grill and travel and have created an online registry.

Travel

Traveling to Westport, Connecticut

For our out of town guests, the closest commercial airports are White Plains (HPN), LaGuardia (LGA) or John F. Kennedy (JFK). Uber, Lyfts and Private Car Services (Recommended: Carey) usually range from $150-$200. We’d recommend renting a car so you can explore New England in the Fall (there’s really nothing prettier).

For those traveling from inside the tristate area, Exit 17 off I-95 or Exit 41 off the Merritt Parkway are the closest to the church and the venue.
